- Canal East Paint Guide -

Time to repaint your home? This guide has been created to assist you when you are planning on painting your house.  We have tried to make this process as simple as possible. Please read the important notes below.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  1. All homes within Canal East must remain the same colour as originally painted. ie. you can not change from an originally grey house to a beige house or from a white house to a grey house.
  2. The trims of your home (ie. window trim, door trim and the top of the boundary wall trim) are to remain the original colour (even if you are changing the shade of the paint of your house).
  3. Below is an illustration to show you the lightest and darkest colours allowed for your colour palette. You can choose a colour within this range as long as it is no lighter or darker than indicated.
  4. If you plan to repaint your house in the same / original colour, you do not need to submit a minor wokrs paint application. But if you wish to change the shade of your paint colour, please submit a minor paint works application with the details of the new colour to plans@cehoa.co.za.
  5. Please note that if you do not follow the above guidelines, you will, in accordance with the rules and Home Improvement Guideline for the Canal East Home Association, be forced to re-paint your house.

IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON CHANGING THE SHADE (not colour as this is not allowed), YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE A MINOR WORKS APPLICATION FORM AND SUBMIT THIS TOGETHER WITH A SAMPLE OF THE SHADE CHOSEN TO plans@cehoa.co.za FOR APPROVAL.
